2026-2027 Season Rules
Entry Fee
$120.00 for 1 day tournament
$180.00 for 2 day tournament
$10.00 optional big fish for 1 day tournament
$20.00 optional big fish for 2 day tournament
90% payback the day of the tournament
3% for AOY pot
Registration
- Registration will take place at the ramp the morning of the scheduled tournament. Registration will begin at 4:30 and end 30 minutes before scheduled blast off. Times will be posted on our Facebook page during the week of the tournament.
- Blast off will be in order of registration.
- Competitors are subject to having live wells and lights inspected before launching their boat.
Eligibility
- Tournaments are open to anyone. There are not any restrictions regarding pros, guides, etc.
- Age restriction: anglers must turn 18 by June 1, 2027. Any angler who is 17 during the season must have a parental consent form provided by No Wake Nation.
- All anglers will be required to sign a release of liability at each tournament.
- All anglers must carry a minimum of $100,000 boating liability insurance on the boat being used. Proof of insurance must be kept with the boat and must cover the angler using the boat. Random checks will be conducted.
Safety
- US Coast Guard approved chest style life jacket and kill switch must be worn any time the combustion engine is on and in gear.
- Running lights must be on for blast off and must remain on until you arrive at your first destination.
- Anglers must observe all no wake zones, both marked and unmarked. Be sure to know the state rules regarding no wake areas. No passing of other competitors' boats in no wake zones.
Failure to abide by these rules may result in disqualification.
Conduct
- Remember our motto: “No Wakes, No Drama, Just Fishing.”
- Maintain a distance of 100 feet from other fishermen whether or not they are competitors.
- All competitors are bound by the statutes and regulations of the state in which the tournament is being held.
- Any protest must be brought to the tournament director no later than 15 minutes after the last flight check-in.
Tackle / Equipment
- No live bait. Artificial baits only. No trolling.
- Only one rod/reel combination can be used at one time.
- All angling must be done from your boat. You may not leave your boat to land a fish or gain access to otherwise inaccessible water.
- All anglers must remain in your boat for the entirety of the tournament except for dire emergency.
- There are NO restrictions on electronics except that the use of underwater cameras is prohibited.
Scoring / Fish Care
- Total weight of each competitor's catch will determine tournament standings and placement.
- 5 bass limit — largemouth, smallmouth and spotted bass — total weight.
- Minimum length is 12 inches unless otherwise specified by state regulation, such as Lake Lanier at 14 inches.
- In the event of a tie, big fish will be the tie breaker.
- Winners of tournaments will be awarded 200 points and points after that will be in 1-point decrements based on place of finish.
- Culling must be done immediately upon catching a 6th fish.
- NO culling of dead fish.
- Please do not come to the weigh-in line until it is announced that scales are open.
- Please maintain no more than 7 in line waiting to weigh in. We want to maintain the health of our fish.
- There will be a 1 lb. penalty for a short fish presented to be weighed and that fish will not be weighed.
- There will be an 8 oz. penalty for weighing in a dead fish. Only 1 dead fish is allowed.
- Dead fish cannot be weighed for big fish.
- Fish must be released at the official release location specified at registration. Please do not release dead fish. A cooler will be provided for any dead fish.
Angler of the Year — AOY
We will be tracking points for the season to determine an Angler of the Year. AOY will have free entry into the Peach State Classic event on Clarks Hill.
Requirements:
- Must fish 6 of the 8 one-day tournaments.
- Must fish the two-day tournament.
- 3% of your entry fee goes to an AOY pot. We will pay the top finisher only this season.
